Club legend leads out team one last time |
Iker Casillas, the goalkeeper who sits atop the all time appearances chart for Real Madrid, has left the club after 21 seasons and 377 appearances, 78 more than second place.
"In a football world where players are chopped and changed frequently, it's very unlikely that his cap tally will ever be beaten", said Real manager Liver6.
"We came up with a special surprise for Ikesy, he lead out the team and acted as our main striker in his last game for the club. What a player he has been, but we thought it best to let him have a crack of the whip when a division one side, who have aspirations of winning big cups, came in for him", surmised Liver6.
"I would also like to welcome big Ikesy's replacement, Jan 'the mad man' Oblak, to the club. He has some big shoes, sorry gloves to fill :)".
