Knights of Cydonia FC
Division 5:21, Ultimate League
Manager: TheAPERSON
Adri Pauwe joins Knights
Knights of Cydonia FC have completed their future defense with the signing of Adri Pauwe, a young defender with a cool as ice which gives us a penalty specialist in the long run. It seemed like the best time to make the transition as in the next two seasons we only need one player over 30 in the starting lineup, the team is finally starting to take shape into something that is a bit more than a bunch of random youths.

The club also sold Kylian Mbappe after his poor DV last season, we felt now was the best time as there was no guarantee he was going to jump next season so we brought in a new farm striker in Petter Glenmark. Finally, we decided to dispose of Preston Grainger as the backup goalkeeper in favor of an older more skilled keeper. Youth keeper backups were alright when Draganescu was a youth keeper but now he's 11 skill having someone a bit more competent was something the manager wanted to bring in to the club.

The new division was drawn and we have reunions with Belfast City, Red FC, CDF Jimbofogo and The King Punks. We expect the latter two to be big favorites to get promoted. Belfast and Red FC are the big returning teams, both were in the same division as us in Season 29 although Belfast have just lost their manager who was in charge for such a long time and who we played over those many occasions.

Red FC were a team we played many times under manager Chunky8 who left a long time ago so it's a surprise that we are playing Red FC in a league match again, though their most notable player Elvis Grusell has long since departed the club and they look a bit patchy.

Aberdeen Bankies are returning from last season and there are only two teams that are brand new to us, Racing Club CF and Cairhax Town, neither of which should pose too much of a threat with semi-active managers though the teams aren't half bad.

Squad numbers for the new season see a few changes. The biggest news is that Roberto Mora is the club's new number 7, taking over a shirt number which was most notably worn by Ray Tataw Eta during the club's history. Severino Motta and Kylian Mbappe wore the shirt prior to Mora obtaining it but Mora will be the long term wearer of the number 7 shirt, it was always our intention to give him that number once it was available. Petter Glennmark takes 23, Adri Pauwe takes 14 and James Helmsely takes 13.
