Minnows Convincing Winners at Home
Friday, we welcomed 'Fk Mladi Radnik' to 'The Pond' where I was hopeful of victory. Against what should have been a tough opponent, I chose a cautious playing style in the hope of reaping a big win at the end of the 90 minutes.

We started the game off well and created a number of early chances including forcing their goalkeeper to tap one over the bar in the 7th minute. The team eventually took the lead on 17 minutes with a volley from inside the penalty area by Joachim Ortmann after a pass by Carmindo Dias. Siegfried Buck made it 2-0 with a flick header from a corner by Franky Temmerman in the 28th minute. Joachim Ortmann put the game out of reach with a header from a cross by Gerd Tiemann in the 41st minute giving him his second of the day. Two minutes, before the break and Dietmar Haller was injured and he was substituted in goal by Kai Rotter.

Retiring Patrick Gleissner got a goal from close range 12 minutes into the second half with an assist going to Günther Schirmer for the pass.  Joachim Ortmann was our second change of the day when he made way for Andry Ehrlich on 77 minutes. 2 minutes into injury time, we made our last change with Günther Schirmer being substituted by Dennis Surmann.

Unfortunately, Günther did get to play much as the whistle blew almost immediately, he reached his position on the pitch. The result keeps us in second with five games remaining in the season with a chance of the playoffs if we can keep it up.
