At this morning's Press Conference, following yesterday's 6-1 thumping of close rivals Roseti City, Town's Manager was in his usual bullish mood; "We're having a ball," he gushed.
"We can't go up or down this season, but after three weeks in charge I'm very happy with the way the players have responded in the League matches thus far. More of them are getting in the Xpert11 Team of the week, and I've been Manager of the Round twice," he bored on.
On the match itself he said, "City are a good side, so I'm not sure what happened to them. We were 5-0 up in 30 minutes, so they did well to peg us back to one apiece in the second period."
In other Shadwell news, Theo Tyler has recently started writing a weekly column in a popular football magazine aimed at young people. However, Theo Tyler is poorly educated and has to spend evenings staying up late struggling to write his material, and has to persuade his friends to proof-read it all. Every week, the deadline creates more stress for him, and he has reached the point where it is affecting his form on the pitch.
His Manager said, "given his standard of writing I'd expect the yoof to be able to understand his Pidgin English perfectly".
