In the blistering heat of the Council Car Park, huge crowds shuffled around the burger van and mad uncle ken was there with his bass drum as per usual, his amazing rhythm creating the 'BOOM BOOM BOOM' in the Klang fans usual chant of 'WE ARE KLANG - BOOM - BOOM - BOOM', but the crowd was ominously silent for some reason? Stranger still, the Klang squad didn't seem to be in a hurry to remove their track suits, given the importance of the game, with KLANG occupying the play off spot in division 4i, way behind their pal, Plaristocrates's 'burging marrow farm,' an in joke between the two managers about the developing beast that is CL Istanbul 05. And with DARK TEAM on level points, so much rested on today's result. Qunderland looked quite sheepish to, and I guess that's to be expected after KLANG up-ended them 6-0 away last time the two teams met! But there was something odd going on and even referee, Al Beback was acting suspiciously as the crowd quietly shuffled into their seats ....them BOOM The crowd erupted into song, with mad uncle Ken smashing the living daylight out of his bass drum, kind of in time to what sounded like a new chant, with more words than usual.....
Gone away, is the blue bird Here to stay, is the new bird He sings a love song As we go along Qalking in a Qinter Qunderland
Manager Pompalicious wasn't sure at first about what was going on and looked over at the Qunderland fans, and they were singing along to, it could have been very bad form if it wasn't for mad uncle Ken contacting a few of the Qunderland faithful in weeks previous to arrange for them to join, and to make sure that they weren't offended, given that the chant's first utterance had been after the previous game and no one likes having their noses rubbed in it, apart it seems for the Qunderland fans, who joyfully lent their strong voice to several repeats of the same lines before during and after the match.
The game it's self was another walkover, this time WE ARE KLANG chalked up 7 goals to nil and impressed the crowd with several minutes worth of passing in midfield that would have done the Brazil national side proud. So all in all, a wonderful day was had by all, even Qunderland who got a special mention at half time from local celeb, Pat Slutford, for their participation in making Pompalicious's face red for the first time that they can recall.<
Several arrests were made after the game, but this had nothing to do with the game it's self, KLANG or Isokovic, who still faces tough questions over that hamster incident.
