Futbol Ultra completed their fifth promotion in just seven seasons, squeaking past Ansta BolS in the second-place playoff to reach the 2 Division for the first time in the club's history.
Under Donovinho's management, Ultra have risen from Division 7 to Division 2, and the Ultra Machine shows no signs of stopping there.
It was a thrilling playoff match, with Ansta playing possession football in a bid to nullify Ultra's attacking threat. This proved impossible as Ultra rattled their way in to a 3-goal lead after 47 minutes, leaving Ansta looking done and dusted.
Ansta rallied however, and 20 minutes later it was 3-2 and the Ultra Machine was working overtime to keep from conceding a third. The pressure was relieved when veteran defender Catarino was injured for Ansta, and replied with the much-less experienced Veldmann.
This swung the tie back in Ultra's favour, and sure-enough the ball was in the back of Ansta's net once again, only to be disallowed.
The three goals were enough to see Ultra safely in to the second division of the Xpert League, with the club making no secret of their plans to make it to the top-flight in the next few seasons.
Donovinho said "as always, we aim to have a solid season and see what we can achieve"
