FC Vitorul
Division 3e, Final League
Manager: Vinnydesalvo
Surprise Sale At Vito
FC Vito fans have been left perplexed and apoplectic at the club's willingness to sell star striker Keijiro Mahushisa on the eve of their Division 3 baptism.  Manager de Salvo made the decision to explain the club's thinking behind the sale.

"I understand the concern amongst the fans.  16m econs is a generous fee for a 25-11 striker.  Did we need to sell?  No - we're fine with what we had in the bank.  The main reason for me is that I firmly believe the two young strikers we have are capable of becoming top, top top, top, top, top, top-top, top players.

"I want to be able to give them both plenty of game time in this coming season.  We are all realistic enough to know we are going to find it most difficult to compete at this level  - but we have a young team we are growing here and they will be given every opportunity to develop together.

"We will obviously seek to bring in another striker - though most probably not in time for Friday's league opener.  I think it is imperative that Jon and Dinis are allowed to learn as much as they can from this advanced level - the experience of competing with the best will stand them in great stead for the future.

"I don't think any of us anticipated reaching Division 3 at this stage, but we have been fortunate enough to do so by virtue of the fortuitous play-off result.  We are most fortunate to have a number of highly talented prospects in the squad and I think we will all benefit from the experience, together.

"The sole aim is to develop and hopefully not embarrass ourselves.  There will be no panic button.  We will learn, develop and adapt together.  I have every confidence in my players.  They have the makings of a right good team in seasons to come."
