Job done.....for now

Many eyebrows were raised, and spurious looks cast when BFM took over the clubs favourite and most successful manager to date - Dr Rubenstein. Coming from the League of Champs, BFM did take to the press to underscore his desire not to take the place of an injured or otherwise unaccounted for manager - but merely to take on a new challenge after feeling like he had done all he could with Kils AIK. Indeed, such was the rhetoric that BFM had to take to the press to reassure the grumbling discontent in the Xpert League that he would stand aside when the good Dr returned.

As time has moved on, unfortunately, the good Dr has shown no signs of making the anticipated return; but looking at the Club History graph of League merits - Molde at least haven't suffered. A period in the lower half of Division 3 over seasons 35-38 has been taken by the scruff by the new manager and Division 3e & 2c titles have followed back to back as the table continues its steep incline into Division 1.

We spoke to BFM on confirmation of the Division 2c title against Matchstick Men.

XD: Congrats on Division 2c BFM - How does it feel?
BFM: "Its great of course Jeff, I'm just glad to have taken the club in the right direction after a somewhat controversial start. But the real work starts here".

XD: Real work?
BFM: Yeah, we've done good until now but the conveyor had been left unattended for a while and whilst there is plenty of life in the clubs top stars - Im not sure the younger players are up to standard. The squad size is another thing - DV's of 14-16 are not quite where Id like them - I think the squad size needs reduced if we are to cope in the upper tier.

XD: Reduced?
BFM - I think the conveyor approach needs tweaked to cope in the upper echelons, A strong first team is necessary, with youths being developed for sale to bring in econs to fund 25/12's for example. Trying to develop too many youths leaves the 1st team weak and that isn't going to cut it for us.

XD: That must make victory bittersweet BFM?
BFM: Precisely Jeff. The lads are celebrating now but I'd estimate 3-4 of them are going to get cut.

XD: Who BFM?? Or haven't you told them yet?
BFM: TBH Jeff, I haven't decided yet. I have a match to go that will concentrate on gettign DJ potentials to DJ and if they do - they're off.

XD: Changing times at Molde FK BFM. Enjoy the Division title celebrations for now at least.
BFM I will Jeff, I've a log cabin in Molde full of champagne & hookers. We're living like Dan Bilzarian this weekend.

We at Xpert Daily.....will be watching the Molde Squad carefully....
