Women are from Venus |
I don't think I can take another season as miserable as my last one was with my former club Bifrost, however since I moved to the The Mighty Cats its been a roller coaster of experiences in such a short period of time.
We picked up a bitter rival within hours of arriving at the club and its been a kind of lukewarm welcome to the Classic League itself, or maybe I'm just being too sensitive, you know how fragile the fairer sex can be, yeah right! But I wanted rivalry and banter and I kind of got what I wished for in that sense, although I think my humour is still misunderstood, men are from Mars and women are from Venus and all that.
It was always going to be a difficult run of games going into the season with three of the first four matches away fixtures, but to contend with five red cross injuries, yes I said 5, crazy isn't it? I'm actually more concerned about the detriment to development this will have, again this club has very little in the way of funds and no farms whatsoever, I will have to address that next season (if I have a team left to play with).
Here are some comments from my fellow managers about the team and the amount of injuries already this season:
"Daisy, that sucks and you've just taken over them" - Pickle_mufc
"The team is cursed Daisy, it will even itself out, eventually, I think". - PapaBear
"Or perhaps Daisy will turn out to be the Classic League's answer to Moyes
Horrible start to the season indeed though....... "- Cloggie
"8 games and Mighty Cats have 5 red crosses, that is insane" - Gago_94
Next up we face PNEFC in the third round of the cup, think this is the time to make a timely departure from the cup this season, as much as I would like to remain in it as long as possible to catch up on lost development through injuries, we really do not have the funds to keep up with the form training required with extra matches, plus less matches means less chances of picking up MORE injuries, its just peachy isn't it.
Disclaimer, no offense is meant by anything in my presser today apart from a two fingered salute to the SYSTEM which is computer program and doesn't have feelings, or does it?
