Special Qualities-Do I need them? Part 2

Category 4 - Depends on tactics / player positions
My advice on these is not to go overboard with these as they add very little to a player and you pay a massive premium for them. From some work I did on monitoring these they only add up to 5% and are very dependant on tactics and player positions.

Greedy
Pro - If paying a win bonus will play above skill level
Con - If not paying a win bonus will play below skill level
Decision - Purchase if you regularly pay a win bonus to your team.
Price - It is a hidden quality. You can sometimes pick up this quality cheaply.

Quick
Pro - Good at outpacing players so achieving a breakaway or catching a breakaway.
Con - This depends on tactics employed so if breakaway is not used then it is a quality that is not needed.
Decision - Purchase / Do not purchase. Depends on your tactics that you employ. If you don’t tend to use defend the centre or through plays then limited use.
Price - You will play a premium for this quality so read note below on price to skill / quality trade off.

Header of ball
Pro - Good at heading ball so is good to receive a ball from a wing play or to defend against a wing play.
Con - This depends on tactics employed so if wing plays are not used then it is a quality that is not needed.
Decision - Purchase / Do not purchase. Depends on your tactics that you employ. If you don’t tend to use defend the centre or through plays then limited use.
Price - You will play a premium for this quality so read note below on price to skill / quality trade off.

Powerful shot
Pro - Good at long range shots and is a good substitute for a free kick taker (20% below a free kick taker)
Con - You need to play tactics of long range shots to make this quality work properly. It is only really effective for forwards and midfielders as defenders will rarely get the chance to shoot.
Decision - Purchase / Do not purchase. Depends on your tactics that you employ. If you don’t tend to use long range shots then do not purchase.
Price - You will play a premium for this quality so read note below on price to skill / quality trade off.

Goal instincts
Pro - A predator who is in the right place at the right time to score goals.
Con - Only useful in the penalty box so best use is for forwards and to get midfielders in the box. As defenders rarely get into the box apart from set pieces this is not really a good quality for them.
Decision - Purchase / Do not purchase. Only purchase forwards and midfielders with this quality.
Price - You will play a premium for this quality so read note below on price to skill / quality trade off.

Keeper special qualities
I am not going to talk about these qualities as they all depend on opponents tactics so are outwith your control. My recommendation is do not purchase these qualities.

Category 5 - Little value

Stamina
Pro - Player gets less tired than other players so is best used when you play with pressure or aggression. There is only around a 3% difference so is a minimal advantage
Con - None
Decision - Purchase only if same price as vanilla player.
Price - These players tend to be priced the same as vanilla players so better to have if not having to pay a premium

Cool
Pro - Plays better at end of game and good at penalties
Con - Possibly doesn’t play to potential during early part of games
Decision - Purchase only if same price as vanilla player.
Price - Tends to go for same price as vanilla players so providing you don’t have to pay a premium price then better to have them than not.

All Round
Pro - None
Con - None
Decision - Do not purchase. Not required in large teams and limited use in small teams.
Price - Tends to go for same price as vanilla players so providing you don’t have to pay a premium price then better to have them than not.

Category 6 - Difficult to manage

Tough
Pro - When playing bruise will play better than skill level
Con - When playing careful will play below skill level. Will also receive a lot of yellow and red cards.
Decision - Do not purchase. Limited number of games that you can play as bruise.
Price - This is a hidden quality.

Play actor
Pro - With a low skilled ref will get you some free kicks and penalties when playing cheat.
Con - Will receive a lot of yellow and red cards especially with a high skilled ref
Decision - Do not purchase the number of games that have a low skilled ref is limited.
Price - This is a hidden quality.

Category 7 - worthless
I am not going to write about these as they are worthless and you should not purchase them.

In general you don't need special qualities in your team and you would be better spending the premium money you would have paid on the quality on a higher skilled player. If you do go down the route of qualities then make sure that you are picking the right quality for your team.
